Jacqueline Pullos, COMT, OSC, CTC

Clinical Training Consultant & Course Instructor

“I am passionate about exceptional patient care, and strive to share that passion through training, coaching, and mentoring.”

 Meet Jacqueline

Jacque began her career in ophthalmology in 1987, when the administrator of a vocational college wisely steered her away from the dental assisting program, and into the ophthalmic assisting program.  She has never looked back!

Over the years, Jacque has worked in comprehensive ophthalmology as well as several sub-specialties including retina, uveitis, cornea, and glaucoma.  However, training and education are Jacque’s primary passions and in 2012, she transitioned from a clinical ophthalmic technician to a full-time technician educator.  She revels in the successes of each technician she works with and has been thrilled to see some of them become excellent trainers, themselves!

In addition to training technicians in the clinic, Jacque has enjoyed teaching didactic courses and workshops at regional and national ATPO and IJCAHPO events.  She has also developed and directed several local continuing education events for allied ophthalmic personnel in Salt Lake City.

Volunteerism is another passion of Jacque’s, and she has been grateful to have had the opportunity to combine her passions in her community as well as abroad.  Jacque has had the privilege of training local ophthalmic staff in several countries with Moran Global Outreach and Orbis International and believes this important work is essential to creating sustainable eye care across the globe.

Jacquie holds a certification a Certified Corporate Trainer (CTC) and has dedicated herself to clinical training for the past 23 years.

Jacque is a former member of the board of directors and a past president of the Association of Technical Personnel in Ophthalmology (ATP0).  She remains active in the organization and has been part of several committees.

Jacqueline is based in Salt Lake City, UT
